Closed petition BAN Non official online form checking services

There has been a rise in websites offering check and send services charging highly inflated prices and gathering private information. These sites pose as official websites often quoting government figures to further the costly hoax.

There are hundreds of complaints but locally without getting a overall picture. There were 24 complaints in one county in one month.

It is not clear that the service they are providing can be found cheaper elsewhere and they are not related to the organisation. They seem to target services particularly offer connection to, or information about, public services, customer services lines or technical helpline e.g. self assessment, driving licence, passport, E111.

These should be banned or at least heavily regulated.
