The BBC is a great national institution that draws the country together in an ever more divisive world, and that guarantees independence and balance of news in a world ever more filled with fake news. It is the envy of the world and the greatest ambassador this country has. We all need the BBC and we can't have the Government kill it (or reduce it to a shadow of its former self) by taking away its national, independent funding source.
