This country is extremely generous in sending overseas aid and that is usually a good thing. At the moment, however, that money can be better spent here in the UK building proper flood defences, compensating flood victims for the misery that they have endured. Suspend overseas aid now and spend it here where it's needed, and for as long as it is needed..
