Christchurch planning department have allowed developers to destroy protected trees.The trees had a TPO placed on them and the deveopers cut through roots on two seperate occasions which placed four trees in a dangerous condition which then had to be felled.
The public was put at risk by cutting trees and leaving them in an unstable condition.

The government must take action and hold an inquiry into the wrongdoing.
