1. Urgently review how funding for flood defence works is administered by the Environment Agency so that they are not hamstrung by beurocratic process.

2. Call for Eric Pickles to resign his position as a result of the outrageous comments he made about the Environmental Agency which were followed by a massive u turn in the H of C.

3. Increase the level of funding for flood defence works across the UK.

4. Ensure that there is a clear lead agency for flooding across the whole country to direct all other partner agencies in thier actions.
