DisabilityPride are campaigning for the introduction of ‘talking busses’ across Northern Ireland.
The state operated Translink, does not have this system in place and we feel that it should be a standard code of practice. Being blind and alone on the public transport network we are reliant on other passengers to advise us of our stop, unfortunately we are not always able to do this. ‘Talking Busses’ can mean we can use the transport network with more confidence.
