Rejected petition To bring in the Interest Free Student Loans for the underprivileged
As David Cameron promised since 2013 to introduce the Interest free student loans so that has to be fulfilled as a country. I want the government to be able to fulfill that promise and bring in these loans for the upcoming undergraduates of 22/23.
More details
As a country where we are meant to respect one another and treat each other equally regardless of religion and ethnicity. When it comes to the privilege of higher education, thousands of students are forced to not continue because these loans stop them due to the unfair interest. Interest is not just as it makes the poor poorer and the rich richer. This is meant to be an equal opportunity for everyone regardless of religion and by having the current system, this stops us from getting our dreams.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We understand you're concerned about the interest payments. However, we're not sure if you want the Government to immediately introduce its planned Alternative Student Finance model and extend this to all students; or if you want all student loans (including those taken out under the current model of student financing) to no longer accrue interest, or to only start accruing interest once a graduate reaches a certain income level.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
