Closed Say NO to Increase of Social Housing Rent to 80% of Private Sector Rent Level

The increase of the Social Housing rents to 80% of the Private Section rent level the government plans to introduce is simply madness and must be stopped at all cost.

The policy is ill thought on the simple basis that this huge increase will no longer provide affordable housing to hundreds of thousands of people who are not able to pay the otherwise high cost of private housing rents.

This, coupled with the capping of housing benefit, will means that only the select few will be able to afford the proposed housing rent level.

It would therefore leave the vast majority of housing stock empty as no one would be able to afford the high rent!

This rent increase is utterly illogical and it is bewildering that politicians can even phathom such ridiculous policy that has the potential to have devasting effects.
