Rejected petition morris dancing

More details

morris dancing has been around for hundreds of years. I myself has been involved in this hobby for 30 yrs and our troupe Monaco has been going for over 15 yrs.
too many schools are finding it hard to get pupils interested in pe so when an activity presents itself that not only gets children interested in sport but also in musical timing, eye co-ordination, working as a team, following instruction, competition and lets not forget PRIDE in what you do, then it makes your head wobble that this is still not recognised. look at the equivalent in the usa and students get whole scholarships for the same thing. i have worked with the children and families of md and its no easy feat...it needs recognition. these children work hard and always with a smile. we want this counted as an authorised absence from school when they are attending there yearly championships
