With local councillors failing to agree on a name, it has been proposed that the Combined Authority in Merseyside should have a title made up of all the constituent authorities.

The brand of Liverpool is famous world-wide, and it is vital that this brand is used to market the city and it's environs at home and abroad to it's full advantage. Hundreds of thousands of jobs in the of Business, Tourism, Culture and Sport sectors rely on this strong identity.

We therefore ask DCLG to ensure that the name of the combined authority reflects this and is called either the "Greater Liverpool" or "Liverpool City Region" Combined Authority
