In view of the increased number of attacks on infants and children in the family home parents who own dogs must ensure the safety of their children from dog attacks by either muzzling or keeping the dog in a separate area to the infant .any dog breed responsible for the death of a child in the past should have no access to children at all.owners and parents who allow the mauling of a child should be prosecuted for child neglect leading to the death of a child.such owners should also be banned for life from keeping a dog.
