The current rush to frack is not properly understood by the populace and should command widespread support given the alleged risks. This petition calls upon the Govt to introduce a two year halt to fracking and to use this time to research and publish an academically rigorous and easily understood description of the process and the alternatives. Future fracking will then only be allowed if local referendum agree in the areas affected.
