We the undersigned petition the government to raise the main rate of Corporation Tax from the current figure of 26% to 50% which brings it in line the Additional Rate of Income Tax. It makes little sense in a time of wage stagnation and when we are trying to pay off a deficit to merely raise VAT while cutting taxes on corporate profits.
