With Novartis vacating their Horsham plant, we the undersigned believe that the Department of Health should compulsarily purchase the site in order to provide a much needed hospital for the mid-Sussex area.

At present there is no A&E capability within 40 minutes of this large area, which includes the towns of Horsham, Crawley and Gatwick Airport. For a rapidly expanding and densely populated part of the country this is simply unacceptable and this is the perfect opportunity to redress this glaring error.
