Department for Transport -The South West of England, particularly Plymouth, requires a rail network that is built not just for the purpose of tourism, but built to strengthen our region focusing on the governments lack of priority towards our Naval Base links and it's great workforce.

Plymouth still is the largest Naval Base in Europe and leads in nuclear submarine activity.

The HS2 plan has clearly forgotten the need for greater rail links that combine dual support for the GW2 plans for a greater service for the South West. If Great Britain ever becomes tangled up in a war so great that we become a target, the link you will need is the South West link.
