Rejected petition To protect the local bus service of Yeovil and surrounding areas against cuts

The service cuts to Yeovil town is to eliminate number 53 service and to merge with number 51. The new plans mean that routes presently covered will no longer be served. This directly affects the elderly, people with mobility issues and nondrivers. Impacting mental health and independence

Yeovil i an ever increasing town with a diverse population of both culture and age. The bus and Comunity service over the years has depleted and yet has still remains to this day a life line for elderly, people with mobility issues, and people who do not, or can not afford to drive. What with the cost of living and petrol prices and the push to use local services this latest cut is one of the most impactful for the Comunity it will have a detrimental affect on all. Independence and human rights.
