Rejected petition Stop standing charge on Gas and Electric the companies

Stop the excessive costs of standing charge to use Gas and Electric from the fuel companies. As once upon a time prior to smart meters if you turned the gas off at the meter you didn't get charged Now they have doubled standing charges which is unnecessary they make enough money already.

To help everyone who is struggling with fuel costs. It may be a small part the companies could go along with dropping VAT on bills the Government could help with.
