Rejected petition Help every consumer to access and benefit from remotely harvested solar energy.

By taking the remotely sited ‘solar farm’ approach but for the benefit of all domestic & commercial consumers collectively, as a nation, so that for relatively low investment, large cost saving ensues over the next 2 to 3 decades or until emerging and future technologies replace the current need.

More details

This is not a call for any form of nationalisation. Everything needed to enable this, quickly, exists bar a crucially important coordinated government plan to ensure that energy consumers can invest what’s needed to meet only their own needs. The benefits in this time of crisis are many; cost, self-sufficiency, savings to the public purse and, in a wider sense, will lead to carbon neutrality, greater use of electric cars and potentially a huge boost to the national economy.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you wish to see an expansion of consumer access to solar-generated energy, but we're not sure what action you want the Government to take to make this happen. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what specific action you want the Government to take.

Alternatively, you might like to sign the following petitions, which call for related actions:
