Often we hear about criminals ostensibly receiving a sentence of fifteen years and only serving five or less.

I would like sentence estimates handed out to be described in more accurate terms - if the person is only likely to serve five years then this should be made clear at sentencing, otherwise it makes a mockery of the system.
