Rejected petition Change the way that Child Maintenance work out what is to be paid.

When Child Maintenance work out the money that is due to the other parent they do not take into account living costs like Rent,Gas, Electric, Council Tax, Food, Travel costs to get to and from work. The CMS just work out on the total taxable earnings for the last year unless it is less than 20%.

I would like this taken up because like most people i am a working person and i work extreamly hard but now my hours have been cut so i do not earn as much but because it is not more than 20% the CMS will not take it into account my personal figures are as follows.

I take home £2.400
My rent is £800
My Council Tax is £144
My gas and elecrtic is £340
My food cost is £300
Travel to and from work £400
Total £1984
this leaves me with £416 but the CMS want me to pay £700 i am putting myself in dept
