Closed petition Public UK vote on Fracking
Closed on
For the Gvt to call a moratorium until a NATIONAL PUBLIC VOTE is held on hydraulic fracturing (FRACKING) in the UK by 26.05.2014.
To call a PUBLIC VOTE to assess if fracking should continue, or a UK WIDE ban be passed. To consider the alternative of GEOTHERMAL HEAT PUMPS, thus accessing the SAME energy, but without bringing radioactive waste/ water above ground, putting chemicals into the ground, or bringing any posionous gases into the water/ecosystem that cause potential damage to humans/animals. With close ref. to:http://pennsylvaniaallianceforcleanwaterandair.wordpress.com/the-list/ doc. Considering the future HEALTH & WELL BEING OF THE UK. Also with ref to: https://www.gov.uk/.../5075-preese-hall-shale-gas-fracturing-review.pdf - pot. damage to property. With insurers declining home ins. close to fracking sites & planning permission currently granted for sites with no LOCAL PUBLIC consultation, considering homes nearby affected economically as well as local health.
