Rejected petition Remove energy bills from MPs allowable expenses claims

In view of the fact that MPs can reclaim their energy bill costs, there is no incentive for them to act in the interest of the rest of the population in keeping energy costs affordable. The right for MPs to reclaim their energy costs should be removed.
