Closed Long term provision of acupuncture for pain management

Patients of hospital Pain Clinics are currently receiving notification of new policy which terminates appointments after 1 year or 12 treatments. Under these new terms, patients suffering chronic and lifelong pain conditions are having their management options reduced, often leaving them without their therapy provision of choice and feeling vulnerable.
Chronic pain affects as many as one in five of the European population: Arthritiscare.org.uk its remedial management choice is a matter of personal suitability, we do not want these choices cut by what seems to be short sighted policy and are therefore we are asking for the present policy to be the reconsidered and over turned.
