Rejected petition Demand that Taxpayers money is no longer spent on hotels for Asylum Seekers.
As Taxpayers we want this money spent on the homeless and OAP's that need this money and support far more than those who come here by boat trying to shortcircuit the immigration system.
More details
We have over 200,000 homeless people on our streets and thousands of OAP's that can no longer afford to pay their energy bills and eat three healthy meals per day. This money needs to be spent on those in desperate situations, those who have paid into the system all their lives or have been evicted from their homes due to loss of jobs and the cost of living crisis.
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand that you are concerned about existing arrangements for housing asylum seekers, but we're not sure how you want asylum seekers to be housed.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, we could accept a petition calling on the Government to build new purpose-built facilities for housing asylum seekers, if that's something you want to happen.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
