It should not be allowed that travellers can invade other peoples land, start building work and then apply for retrospective planning permission in order to delay eviction. There should also be simpler rules for evicting travellers deemed to be trespassing on private or council land and more criminal prosecutions brought for those who damage the land they are on through either leaving rubbish or breakages.
