It is very difficult for couples to stay together when one works and one is on benefits, according to the councils even staying over one night a week could lead to your partner having benefits cut and the working party assuming all financial responsibility.
This needs to be addressed so that people on benefits get the same right to a new and evolving relationship as couples who are not on benefits.
