To make the democratic process fairer a “None of the above” section should be added to the list of candidates on a ballot paper. So instead of some voters spoiling the ballot paper in frustration or as a protest, could then legitimately have their vote counted. It could encourage those who currently do not take part in the political process to do so and have their say.
