The public need to be kept safe from airborne pathogens ie Covid, RSV, Strep A.

Covid 19 is causing death, disability and long term risk in the UK at unacceptable levels. This is preventable.

The UK Government are ensuring their workers safety by installing ventilation against airborne viruses. Everyone deserves the same standard.

We need a Public Space Ventilation Bill.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

Under regulation 6 of the Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations, employers must ‘ensure that every enclosed workplace is ventilated by a sufficient quantity of fresh or purified air’. It is up to the individual buildings management team how they ensure the correct levels of ventilation.

You could start a new petition calling on the Government to make CO2 monitors mandatory for public buildings or you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
