The Ministry of Justice has decided to restrict posted items to prisoners, including books. Reading and the access to books is an essential part of prisoner rehabilitation but the provision of books through the prison library service has been drastically reduced. This petition calls for the Ministry to drastically improve resource, access and funding for all UK prison libraries.
