The petitioners call on the Leader of the House of Commons to make freely available online the current edition of Erskine May's Treatise on the Law, Privileges, Proceedings and Usage of Parliament, and commit to make available all future editions. As the recognised, authoritative handbook of Parliamentary procedure, there is a clear public interest in open access to the document, which is currently denied by its prohibitive retail price.
