Levi Bellfield is serving a life sentence without parole for the Murder of Milly Dowler, described as Mr Justice Wilkins as a 'cruel and pitless killer'. He was attacked in Prison and received minor injuries (as described by himself) - yet he has been awarded with £4,500 compensation for the injuries sustained. Prisoners serving life sentences, particularly for child murder, should not receive such compensation.
