Abolish VAT on major home improvements such as extensions, replacement windows, insulation, heating systems, etc.

New homes are VAT free and so too should major improvements to older homes that have fallen behind modern living standards.

There are many homes in the UK that fall short of modern day living standards. Many families in these homes can't afford to move or do improvements (extensions/new windows/insulation/heating/etc) as they are penalized with additional VAT charges.

Abolishing VAT would allow these families to improve their living standards.
