Currently certain employment rights including the right to claim unfair dismissal and the right to statutory redundancy pay only apply after a minimum of 2 year’s continuous service.

I would like the government to help people have a more stable and secure life in employment giving people stronger employment rights from the beginning of their employment.

This would mean that people that are treated unfairly can bring a claim to tribunal for unfair dismissal before the 2 year employment rules kick in. This could help reduce unemployment for those treated unfairly during their employment.
