Although Maria Miller has undoubtedly made enormous profits at the expense of taxpayers in breach of the guidelines laid down by the parliamentary standards commission, and that her financial arrangements are currently the subject of investigation by both the Metropolitan Police and HMRC, notwithstanding Ms. Miller's apology showing contempt for parliament and the office of Speaker, we believe Ms Miller's conduct is entirely commensurate with the electorates' expectations of holders of high office, and demand her immediate reinstatement to the government.
