Petition Make altering property borders without consent a specific criminal offence

The Government must make it a criminal offence if neighbours trespass, encroach or alter a neighbour’s border or property by putting up fences or walls etc.

I propose the Government pass a new law to make this a criminal offence under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. Altering borders without consent can cause damage to neighbouring properties, obstruction and disruption

Often people who alter borders without consent are well off and may be able to influence surveyors and those in local authorities, making it difficult for wronged parties to secure justice.
