Closed petition Reform public service pensions

With the cost of public service pensions falling on the taxpayer, we believe the current unfunded system for public service pensions is not fair or sustainable. We want the Government to introduce a new pension scheme that is fully funded by employer and employee pension contributions.

Many private sector workers struggle to build up an adequate pension, while public service pensions are more generous than most private pension schemes.

We want the Government to level the playing field between public and private pensions, and reduce the burden on the taxpayer.
