More details
Almost 1 in every 5 people in the UK have hearing difficulties. Half of them have poor mental health because of a lack of social interaction and lack of attention. Communicating with others is vital in order to build a socially healthy life, but for people with hearing difficulties, that's difficult to achieve. By inserting BSL in the national curriculum up to the age of 11, we will empower our younger generation to be able to communicate with the deaf community, and their peers, in the future.
