Centralise planning decisions to allow central government to take planning decisions that effectively tackle energy security, climate change, housing availability and affordability, inflation and the economy. We believe local authorities often reject planning applications that should be approved.

It is time that the interests of the majority are not hindered by local authorities. We believe many local councils are run by NIMBYs who do not support planning applications that are necessary for progress, and that resistance of local government to granting planning permission on greenbelt sites has stifled growth and opportunity.
