Make private hire taxis and hackney cabs zero-rated for VAT, like public transport.

Some of the most vulnerable people use taxis across the country: elderly, disabled, young children going to school etc. Charging VAT could jeopardise everything for them, especially when we are in a cost of living crisis, to charge VAT on every journey increases the cost of their journey, whether to school or hospital, which could create a bigger and darker hole of debt for them. If fewer people use taxis, it could create further unemployment across the country and further poverty.
