Introduce legislation to ensure that commercial airlines introduce equipment to transmit flight and voice data to ground bases in real time and make sure it cannot be turned off. No longer should we put up with the Malaysian airlines farce of trying to find a flight recorder in 4500 meters of sea while families and friends wait for news. Don't wait for the rest of the world, if necessary act unilaterally and ensure anybody who wants to use our airports does the same.
