Ban the use of monkey nuts in all parrot/bird seeds and as treats. The health implications can kill thousands of pet birds throughout the whole of the UK each year.

As monkey nuts are grown underground, they can grow a mould inside the shell which in turn, when the bird ingests this mould, can cause black spots/shadowing on their lungs and air sacs causing respiratory distress and if not treated correctly can and does kill pet birds.
