Closed Introduce nationwide statutory post-adoption support and funding

We are calling on the Government to provide nationwide statutory post-adoption funding. We believe more support is needed, especially for urgent applications for specific support. We also want the Government to give adoptive families more control over the spending of Pupil Premium+.

Adopted children often have backgrounds of trauma and neglect, which can lead to developmental challenges. Their unique needs can require specialised, tailored care and education. Availability of Post Adoption Support is a postcode lottery and we believe education systems aren't adequate. This petition calls upon the Government to take immediate action to ensure that clearly defined, responsive and timely PA support solutions, and associated funding are made available.
