Petition Increase funding for child and adult eating disorder services
It is important that eating disorder services have more funding in order to help prevent patients being referred to palliative care. These services can help people with eating disorder recover, and we are concerned that they are not sufficiently well funded.
More details
Eating disorders are extremely serious mental health conditions and anorexia nervosa has a higher mortality rate than any other mental illness. We are concerned that some eating disorder patients have been offered palliative care. While some patients are less responsive to treatment than others, that does not mean they cannot recover now or in the future.
