Closed Terminate the Avanti West Coast Mainline contract

The Government should terminate the West Coast contract with Avanti and re-tender.
Since the contract was awarded in 2019, Avanti have had a history of failure in running the service

According to figures released by the Office of Rail and Road in November 2022, Avanti West Coast had the worst record of train cancellations in the year prior to this date, with a cancellation rate of 8%.

Since then, there has been little to suggest "drastic" improvement has occurred since the Government demanded this in October 2022.

We demand a better provider and so the contract should be terminated.
