Closed petition NHS should only use qualified paramedics and ambulance crews for 999 emergencies
Closed on
Following several incidents where St John Ambulance staff have attended emergencies with negative outcomes for the patient, we feel that in the case of emergency 999 calls, only qualified paramedics and ambulance staff should attend emergencies and St John Ambulance and other non NHS agencies should be relegated to hospital transport or non emergencies, to allow proper ambulance crews to be available for emergency situations as they were trained to do, thus providing more positive outcomes for the patient.
