This petition was submitted during the 2010-2015 parliament
Rejected petition General Medical Council to stop publishing registrant's addresses.
More details
The General Medical Council (GMC) no longer publish doctor's addresses on their website.
The General Dental Council (GDC) continue to publish the full addresses of those on the dental registers on their website. This is unnecessary and compromises the safety of the dental registrants as well as breaching their privacy. Dental Professionals could be identified by a name and a unique number in the same way that the GMC uses to identify doctors.
The signatories to this petition call for the GDC to cease to publish the addresses of those on the dental registers and move to a more acceptable system for identifying registrants.
