Closed petition Stopping discrimination means all should be equal before the law

Closed on

Former Judges should not be above the law.
Currently when a former judge is accused in a whistle-blowing or discrimination case there is discretion for the current Judge to help them avoid embarrassment.
In the case of A v B the Judge allowed a former Lord Chancellor's lawyers to give their word he had never received a written complaint from Dr A rather than the former Lord Chancellor give evidence. On that basis the Judge, who was appointed to office by the former Lord Chancellor, stuck out the case. The Appeal Judge was also appointed by the former Lord Chancellor, he struck out an appeal that he had misled the tribunal.

Now a whistle blow has come forward to say the former Lord Chancellor did receive the written complaint and he withheld them from disclosure because it was embarrassing to him. We petition that the former Lord Chancellor be investigated as any other citizen would be and if appropriate charged with perverting the course of justice.
