Petition Councils to build new council houses

As a councillor I see first hand how young family's struggle to get on the housing market note average new build house prices 150'000 to 200'000. in more in rural villages And area like London house prices have shot through the roof which mean only the richest can afford to get on the housing market.Also we hear the word affordable housing this is a joke this only means a provision for social housing not the house is cheap to buy. renting houses has also gone up exponentially pushing family's to the brink of food poverty.And making landlord very wealthy indeed.Councils need to start a massive rebuilding of council houses to give family's a chance of house.It's time for the government to act on this housing time bomb .
