Emergency Care workers: Paramedics, Fire Fighters and Doctors and Nurses in Accident and Emergency should be protected by law against assault. Whilst the Police are fortunate to be trained in self protection and carry Tazers, Batons etc and there is already legislation to protect them - rightly so.

We must protect all emergency workers who try to keep us safe. A specific criminal offence of assaulting such workers.
