Closed Havering council to retain an ice rink in Romord.

Havering Council are pulling down Romford Ice Rink and selling the land for retail.They intend to build another leisure center at a new site with no guarantee of a new ice rink. The current ice rink is home to Romford Skating club which is currently being used as a pilot scheme to enhance figure skating in GB which is being supported by David Dore - Vice President of the ISU and Vanessa Riley one of the highest qualified skating judges, Romford Ice Rink is also the home to various hockey teams, and local school use it for PE lesson.The thousands of its ice users would like the government to remind Havering Council of the necessity of retaining an ice rink in Romford.
